Retired LPN enjoyed time with grandchildren
Margaret L. Cumpston Wilson, 100, of Waynesburg, died at 7:55 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2011, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg.
She was born Sunday, June 4, 1911, in Washington, a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Watson Cumpston. (Check the link to see her parents in the brown box)
Mrs. Wilson was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Waynesburg.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved the Lord.
Mrs. Wilson worked for 33 years as a licensed practical nurse at Greene County Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg, retiring in 1976.
Her husband, Verne Lee Wilson, whom she married June 4, 1931, died November 16, 1943.
Surviving are two sons, James W. Wilson and Frederick (Ted) A. Wilson, both of Waynesburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Morris of Chicago, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Jean Mason (see additional box); two sons, Jack Wilson and Robert Wilson; several brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Jesse.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 18, with the Rev. John Poling officiating.
