McLean County Obituaries BIELFELDT, Fred H.

The funeral for Fred H. Bielfeldt, 92, of Anchor, who died Monday 10-15-1984 will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor; the Rev. Melvin Blobaum officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. today at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, and for one hour before the service at the church. A Christian prayer service will be at 8 tonight at the memorial home. Mr.Bielfeldt was born 3-17-1892 in Anchor, a son of Frederick and Wilhelmine Maria Niesche Bielfeldt. He married Maria E. Riecks on 3-14-1912 in Anchor. She died 11-30-1983. Survivors include three sons, Edwin, of Anchor; Harold, Bloomington; and Rodell, Gibson City; a daughter, Marjorie Cumpston, Anchor; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A son, two brothers and six sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Bielfeldt was a retired farmer. He resided in Florida during the winter months for the last 20 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor; Anchor School Board; Anchor Grain Board for more than 40 years; the board of directors of United Grain Association; and the board of Rural Electrification Association. He was a lifetime member of McLean County Farm Bureau, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church council, and a member of Senior Citizens Bowling League at Gibson City for four yeaers. In August 1983 he received a Senior Citizens championship bowling award. Memorials may be made to his church.

CUMPSTON, Eric Lee

Eric Lee Cumpston, 29, of Champaign, formerly of Anchor, died at 12:09 a.m. yesterday 9-6-1989 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was the victim of a homicide. Champaign County Coroner Eldon Quick is investigating the death. Please see the story on page A8. Mr. Cumpston's funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor, the Rev. Melvin Blobaum officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 - 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, is in charge of arrangements. He was born 9-29-1959 in Chicago, the son of Kenneth and Marjorie Bielfeldt Cumpston. He married Lynda Evans on 11-10-1984 in Anchor. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Tyler, at home; a daughter, Haley, at home; and his parents, Anchor. He was a resident of Champaign and was employed by Kraft Foods there the past 12 years. He was a 1977 graduate of Octavia High School in Colfax and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor. Memorials may be made to a trust fund that has been estsablished for his children in his memory.

OBITUARY MARRIN, Anna Marie Riecks

Anna Marie Marrin, 98, a resident of Octavia Manor Nursing Home, Colfax, since 1985, died at 9:15 a.m. 11-5-1989 at the nursing home. Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, Rev. Melvin C. Blobaum and Rev. Kathryn Bielfeldt officiating; burial in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Anchor. Soloist was Rev. Kathryn Bielfeldt. Pallbearers were Lyle Riecks, Eugene Riecks, Harold Bielfeldt, Edwin Bielfeldt, Rodell Bielfeldt andd Phillip Barclay. Visitation was from 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. She was born 5-14-1891 in Anchor, a daughter of Edward and Eliza George Riecks. She married Michael G. Marrin on 4-21-1921 in Denver. He died 8-29-1951. Surviving are two half-sisters, Irma Mueller, Westminister, Ca., and Rita Riecks, San Angelo, Tx. Additional survivors include four nieces, Marge Cumpston, Anchor; Irene Kennedy, Anchor; Bunny, Calif.; and Barbara Jean Danburg, Houston, Tx.; seven nephews, Edwin Bielfeldt, Anchor; Harold Bielfeldt, Bloomington; Rodell Bielfeldt, Gibson City; Lyle Riecks, Anchor; Eugene Riecks, Anchor; Ronald Vail, San Diego, Ca.; and Glen Mueller, Calif. She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. Mrs. Marrin, a former resident of Bloomington, attended school in Chicago where she later worked for Armour and Co. as a secretary. She had formerly lived in Denver, Tulsa, Ok, and Joliet. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor, to which memorials may be made.
