Andy McLeod and I corresponded in May 2009 about his line in Worthen. Initially I suspected that his Frans Cumpstone was part of the MIDLANDS 2 Tree, but having sent Andy details we realised that none of the data matched. The following is from Andy.

My paternal grandmother's father was Edward Cumpston(e). He was born in 1848 or thereabouts.

By 1861 I have Edward as a servant in Wollaston, Shropshire. There is an Eliza Cumpston who is the housekeeper. Related perhaps?
 
By 1871 he is a servant in Pitsford House in Nothants, where he meets his future wife.
 
By 1891 he is married and living in Pitsford, and my Grandmother, Mary/Mollie is 8. She has brothers Harry, Joseph and William and sister Ellen. My father had cousins called Vivyan and David on that side (Vivyan b 5 Jul 1910 d Feb 1994?)
 
By 1901 my Grandmother Mollie is 17 and the last child at home.
 
I believe this is a different Edward from that listed in line 18 of your spreadsheet, who was born in 1815 (if I am reading it right). I have attached a census return of 1871 for the Aston Cumpstones. I think these are a different side of the family.

John (b1837) also appears in my tree as a sibling of my Edward, as does a William (b1842) and Elizabeth (b1845) (see 1851 census).
